Cam has to feel trapped on a terrible football team

if we hadn't played a rookie QB in EJ Manuel today we would have lost much worse. Cam Newton is not near as good as everyone hyped him up to be.  He made countless terrible throws today and not even in pressure.

 

Also people hating on Andrew Luck. He had 7 4th quarter comeback wins last year, and already 1 this season.  Cam Newton has beaten a total of 3 teams with winning records over 2 seasons.

it isn't just TheRed this time, I'm referring to his comments that he doesn't believe Cam is smart enough to play in this league because he talks too urban for carolinarolls taste

 

 

in his defense he doesnt believe eli manning is smart enough to be a good QB either so it's entirely possible he's just extraordinarily stupid rather than a bigot and that ive seen enough now to come to this realization

 

carolinarolls has been spreading stupid bullshit on this forum since i joined it during the pre-2008 offseason. he's one of the original posters i can remember being annoyed with during my days as a fresh noob.

 

i've never understood the mentality behind waltzing into some sort of forum or opinion group and not getting along with anyone, constantly being attacked for your extreme outlier of an opinion, and chalking it up to "they r all just retarded" instead of introspectively examining your own position and orienting it to the poles of opinion on the issue in an attempt to locate some kind of balance. i always wonder if these sorts of people extend this modus operendi into their personal lives as well and run into the same issues.

I get a little bored with the strawman argument that if you say Cam is not the problem, or that Cam is fine, that somehow means I, or others, are saying that Cam is perfect and can't get better.  Or doesn't have areas to improve on.

 

I mean, yes if Cam was perfect and never missed a throw or had the brains of Peyton Manning we would win more games.  Well no poo.  That doesn't mean that since he isn't Brady or Manning that he is the problem.

i didn't read all 9,000 posts in this thread so i may have missed it. hardly a surprise, iirc carolinarolls was one of cam's biggest detractors from the beginning, showing up like noted dickbelt thunderraiden when things weren't going so well and conspicuously disappearing after good games

I used to be called a Cam hugger, I said he could be the problem last week and got flamed for it...damned if you do, damned if you don't kind of deal. After today, I do feel that Cam is the problem. I also feel that this franchise may be "trapped" with Cam. I would be a fiasco if we started DA and he sucked and we put Cam back in..a fuging fiasco, Jerry can't have that so this is the sinking ship and I think Cam is the iceberg. I know that Bell was beat like a drum today, but Cam was patting the ball in the pocket, when he was hit not in his drop...his internal clock is fuged, this is the NFL you can't hold the ball all day, Manuel didn't...Cam missed Ted Ginn and 89 multiple times today with 10 yard overthrows. He also threw a WR screen to Armanti several feet too high...Cam does not walk on water, in the pocket, he looks like he can barely walk, the electric plays as an athlete may have won him over with the most of you. For me his unreliability as a QB have myself and maybe some of his team members conceeding that a punt is forgone conclusion when the offense is faced with 3rd and 5+

This aggravates me so much.

I want cam to be the best football player ever in the win tire history of football. I want him to win 18 superbowls and play until he's 50. I do not in any way shape or form want him to fail.

With that said this has nothing to do with racism or him being black. That's a bullshit statement. Cam needs to get ALOT better as does the coaching staff and the team. But cam is suppose to be the general. Our franchise qb. A leader. All these things.

He just isn't going forward and nobody wants to put any blame on him whatsoever. Y'all always deflect the blame. It's never his fault we lose. We'll ill tell ya now. He is apart of why we are losing. He isn't getting it done.

I pray he steps it up and goes on a tear wear his game elevates so high that he just destroys defenses. Buy honestly I don't see it happening. He's hot to get alot better or we will be finding a new quarterback in a year or two.
