Is our problem coaching or talent?

Cam Newton is as much to blame for the loss today as the coaching.

 

Cam wasn't perfect but he wasn't the reason we lost.

Rivera is prob the worst coach in the NFL right now and that not stretching it at all. Terrible coaching for 3 years now and its why he was passed up by most smart teams for years.

Coaching.  Simple, don't take the ball out of our best playmakers hand, and then wonder "oh why the hell did we lose".  But don't worry, our strong point is Mike Tolbert and our Offensive line.  I felt like garbage after that 3rd down call because deep down, I knew it was over.

Our problem is that our coaches are not coaching our talent.

I'll say we don't have the talent we would like at certain positions but it's not the reason we lose. I say it's coaching because Rivera has managed to lead us to defeat in 7 points or less in nearly all of those contests. He's 2-14 for christs sake. It's his fault.

 

I think Rivera's problem is that he thinks he doesn't have to be gutsy. He acts like he's a premier HC in the NFL. He doesn't know what it's like to take the game by the balls and go for it when we need to. Take the risk to win the game and not lose in the same BS fashion he always does. He thinks he has arrived.

 

He still hasn't fought for a win as a HC. He rides the players backs. Like with the defense he rides them until they crumble in the 4th qtr because they are gassed. Then his excuse is that they didn't execute. He's proven to be nothing but pathetic so far. I do not respect his decision making anymore.

Both, with more talent on DB and better WR..we are 2-0 but we don't and our coach doesn't have the common sense to win and he lacks guts...he should watch gold rush...No Guts No Glory...fug u Rivera

We won't win any close games with our defense on the field playing not to lose instead of our offense trying to win.We settle for field goals and try to keep a small lead letting the defense play loose giving up chunks of yards. We always find a way to lose.  Our coach does not have a fire in his belly saying theres always next week.  Jerry shoud see  that he is losing his fan base and those left will start wearing bags on their heads.   Wins brings condidence, but losing leaves fans frustrated and players mailing it in.  We need a new sherrif in town with a new attitude.  Either win or go home. Rivera and Cam are in their third  year. The clock is ticking and the G-man will bring a change very soon.

WHAT?! Cam is hamstrung by this coaching staff…they don't believe he can win it for him, only lose it for them, so they don't let him loose.  The coaching staff is squarely to blame here, today, last week, last year…all of it.  Was Cam off a bit? Of course, but his confidence is long gone because he knows what we know…the coaching staff doesn't believe in him. The coaching staff's of the other young QB's have faith in their guy, but not the Panthers. Nope. That's why he struggles at times. He's not to blame here, dude.

Cam, Olsen, Smitty, CJ, Kalil, Davis and Luke... Everyone else is serviceable.
