OFFICIAL NEW HEAD COACH REQUEST LIST

Sean Payton's Vicodin

Holgorsen and Sumlin might be early to get their pro shot, but my guess is Chip Kelly's gonna bring in a lot of good offensive minds from college.  Malzahn might make sense in a similar capacity.  All three are fantastic offensive minds.

If going pro, there are always the conservative D types - Lovie Smith, Mike Zimmer.

Not unlike Belichick, Jon Gruden has spent a lot of time with Kelly, and so if anyone offensively is going to balance the difference between college innovation and pro experience, it'd be Gruden.

No more conservative D types.  Fans would not stand for it.  Has to be either a Offense minded coach or a proven Defensive Coach

    • Entering year three, and there are reasons I would look into this more before offering a fourth or fifth. He was drafted in round 2 in 2023.  His rookie season, he played 14 games and was targeted 40 times.  Targeted 3 times a game, basically.  He caught 27 (67.5%).  A TE target/catch percentage should be higher than a WR--70-75% is considered good.  In 11 games this season, he was targeted 32 times and caught 21.  Again, about 3 receptions per game, with a target catch percentage of 66%. They decided to draft a TE after his rookie season. This means they did not see him as a #1 TE. He has not been very healthy (9 missed games in 2 seasons). Could he be better with a better QB?  Probably.  Having said all that, he is an excellent blocking TE.  I would trade a fifth for him, but only if I knew Thomas and Tremble were not coming back.
    • 4th, 5th or later for him all day. Get it done ASAP.
    • the personal problems is something that would have to be checked out, but I'd do it.  That's how we got Greg Olsen.  He was a first round pick and we traded a 3rd for him a couple of years later.  He became our best TE ever
