So, Newton looks horrible

Recommended Posts

Cam wasn't on the best game today but wasn't horrible also.  He started to get on, but then the OC decided to just run the clock out to kick FGs.  We have to have a better plan.  WE were killing them with our TE and smitty....seems like they tried to force the vertical routes too much and got into Cam's head a little. telling him during film study to throw those routes...I think thats why he looked so uncomfortable in the beginning trying to force things.....but hey in the end we have another L 0-2...man.....this sucks!!!!!!

When our team gets Cam some help...then we can revisit this.

I have been saying ALL offseason....CAM IS NOT SUPERMAN...he is not going to turn this bunch into a top 10 offense. Give Cam what ARI offense and we will be top 10...Give Cam some WR help we would be far better...

But we spent our capital on the defense. And that is not necessarily a mistake.

However, they must now step up. They must now lead this team to the playoffs...not let a rookie qb drive 80+ yards with no to in less than 1:40...

But of course people will ask: WHY ISN'T CAM THROWING FOR 500 YARDS AND PUTTING UP 50 POINTS?

Just imagine if Andrew Luck came out that year.... sigh, what could have been.

You don't need a high draft pick superstar QB to win. Seattle proved that last year. You just need to know how to control the game and make smart decisions when they count. As fun as highlights are of Cam escaping a sack or two and throwing for a first down or escaping defends in the first quarter... games are won in the trenches with seconds left. Just look at how EJ handled himself today and how Russell Wilson has handled himself all of last year.

Cam did not have time at all today. The bills crushed our front line. He needs to stop show boating when he has a good play. He needs 3-5 seconds for play to develop.

Thats the problem. Cam cannot make a quick throw to save his life. Its overthrown every time.

We have to the be only offense in the NFL that doesn't utilize quick slants.

Look I don't think you can void blame of Cam. He deserved his share.

But I am still having a hard time seeing how we can pin either of these losses on Csm.

He wasn't perfect and it wasn't his best game. But it is short sighted to dump on Cam.

He isn't Peyton or Brady, nevrr will be likely but he has done more than enough for us to win games.

Among some of his bad plays he also had some great plays. Everyone has to do more and this week he had little help from the coaches and his o-line and his receivers.

He made some bad throws too so I am not saying he had a good day.

But I can't see laying this one on his feet.

Just my opinion though.
