Moncriefs time to shine in about an hour

I think this kids stock will make a serious jump after the combine

 

yep, he plays at 3:15. i heard a podcast from tony pauline saying that moncrief is going around telling everybody he is going to kill the combine, and run very fast. even tho he has yet to declare, but should hear something in the next week from him.

By no means would it be a reach to draft him in the first IMO. He may not even be there when we draft.

I think you said awhile ago, "don't be surprised if Moncrief is the second receiver off the board", this seriously wouldn't surprise me

Awesome hands catch there by Moncrief.

Update. Moncrief has 3 catches 46 yards and a TD in 2Q.

TD came on crossing route, Moncrief using long strides to turn corner and reach for pilon before getting pushed out

We need this kid, if we pass over him, he will be the one that got away

Moncrief did have a Deangelo like fumble earlier but big bad Bo just under threw Moncrief on what coulda have been a TD. Play ended in an interception.

Fumbles can be corrected, I love how he creates separation from dbs, especially against speedy sec dbs

I am deathly afraid of that, I think he is the most talented wr in the draft

If we have designs on trading anybody off of this team, we need to do what we can and double dip in the 1st or at least get earlier in the 2nd, IMO. I mean, let's think here. We're picking late. We know this. So, as stacked as this draft may be with OL, DL, and WRs, we certainly need to ensure ourselves a solid OT and a solid WR. Unless we really can know for sure that a solid guy will fall to us in the 2nd/3rd round, we need to at least consider it. Cam needs help on the offensive side of the ball. I really want us to have that WR that is as heralded as a Julio, Dez Bryant, etc. We have Smitty, but he's nearing the end. Gotta have the next Smitty.

We need a #1 WR, basically.  I am not sure that we keep Lafell either.  He will want more than he is worth.  

 

Potential #1 WRs

First Round---Watkins, Evans, Lee---maybe Robinson, Benjamin,  and Matthews

Second Round---Beckham Jr, Adams, Moncrief, Coleman, Landry

 

I think we can find what we are looking for in that pile of talent.

I like him.  This draft is loaded with big receivers.  He is listed as a 3rd rounder by most "experts" and Davante Parker at Louisville is something like a 4rh rounder.  Give me both of them.
