Will anyone acknowledge Russel Wilson in last week's game? The kid flat out made some ridiculous plays when they needed them. He made a few throws without even seeing the WR.

The Panthers played a pretty good game. They were beaten by a QB that may be the best in the league while on the run, and a defense with a knack for timely turnovers.

My concern is not with the players. Well, one exception is the right side of the o-line. I just don't think Rivera and Shula can coach us to the top. Until they prove they can I will remain pessimistic.

Although the secondary wasn't great by any means I think they played better than the stats suggest (even advanced statistics). I think Wilson was just amazing at extending plays, throwing on the run, and a few fantastic catches by his wide receivers.

But the secondary is still a glaring weakness though

And that's very understandable. But Gettleman has given Ron the best team he's had since becoming HC.

This defense will be one of the best in the league. The offense looks like it could be very efficient once Cam gets accustomed to the new playcalling. For once, he had a running game to lean on (against a hard nosed Seattle D) and didn't have to do everything himself. Once Cam gets a feel for when to take shots downfield in this offense, that side of the ball will get on a roll. And since it's something he's always done well, that could begin as early as Sunday.

The pieces are there, the playcalling is sufficient, the execution just needs to catch up sooner rather than later.

The secondary didn't play very well - I agree. But the front 7 can be so dominant, the back 4 just needs to limit big plays.

We won't be playing RW again this year. I can't think of another QB that could have made the plays he made last week.
