Companies prefer to hire new employes without college degree to fill senior management positions. Apparently it's more cost effective... I know a person that works for a very large company based here in Charlotte and even tho they say bachelor degree is a must, they preferably always hire applicants without a college diploma. This is not the first time I hear of this practice...

Can't say I've ever heard of this, glad I work in a field where education requirements for employment are gradually increasing.
