FWIW, I've decided not to get drunk in a while like I have been doing multiple times per week recently after reading this earlier today. Real eye opener, and let it be known that at the very least, your story can go on to help others. I know it probably means nothing to you right now as it really shouldn't with what you're dealing with, but it could mean a lot for other people and how they live their lives.

I can't even imagine - just the thought almost breaks my being in half.

I truly hope you cherish her memory and can carry this message to others. I grew up with alcoholic parents and have never been drawn to the lifestyle at all.

Thanks for the support. The difficult part going forward other than the grief is raising a 3 year old girl by myself. It's going to be very difficult, but I have to carry on for her sake. Hope you all have a good day.

And I'm scared shitless my wife is headed down the same road, thanks to the vast majority of her family that are either recovering or still consuming. There is a genetic tendency, and most people give this no credence.
