Its quiet.... too quiet

Have you noticed there is an overall lack of interest or enthusiasm in this game? Seems like this is the least anticipated game since 2010, and it really should not be. Even the opposing fans are quiet. Its difficult digging anything up on their end.

So here is the question... lets say the Panthers do win Sunday in convincing fashion. Is that enough to energize the crowd at BoA or will it be NY South?

SINCE I CAN'T START MY OWN THREAD:

Thread Topic: Panthers prepared for up-tempo Bills (article)

Tag: Carolina Panthers

My .02: Another article by David Newton. Well written; and a really Awesome Kracken quote. (More than likely will be

--------------------------->someone's signature) good read for a slow week.

"They get plays off fast,'' Carolina defensive end Greg Hardy said. "You can't get plays off that fast if you get hit in the mouth by Kraken [Hardy's nickname for himself] all day.''

Yes that was a third person reference... And then there's this

"You have an understanding as to what it's like, what it's going to be,'' coach Ron Rivera said. "The most important thing is when you play these up-tempo teams is if you can control the chains. Three-and-out, it doesn't matter. Now your offense is back on the field.

And it ends like this

"I'm glad we faced Philly in the preseason,'' Carolina strong safety Charles Godfrey said. "We started off real slow. We had to get into a groove. Now going into this game we know what to expect.''

And the good news, it's Buffalo and not Philadelphia.

We win the game, but i wont be convinced this team has arrived unless we beat NYG.

I disagree with the dismissal of this game. How many times under in the past under Rivera have we had a chance to make it .500 and blew it? Even while facing inferior opponents we should have beaten.  Winning this game isn't a given in my eyes and would be a positive step.

Yea beating the Giants would be huge, but I'm far from blowing this one off. Based on what I've seen from this team.

God - go back to Buffalo then. It's a preseason game. Against the fuggin' BILLS. We REALLY do have better things to do. Seriously.

also that was in a parking deck where grills/etc weren't allowed.  you could only "tailgate" by eating bojangles out of the back of your vehicle basically.

the whole thing was silly.

At the moment there is no reason to be excited. Yes we did lose to one of the best teams in the NFL but until we start winning it's kind of hard to actually get excited.  I'm convinced that things aren't going to change until the coaching staff is fired.

We don't have one of the most talented teams in the NFL. We have a lousy seconday,a lousy offensive line, subpar wide receiving corps, and a average special teams unit at best with a possibly lame duck coaching staff.Where is the most talented team at? I think a dose of reality here would help This team is half way there and another good draft ,some good FA signings and some luck with injuries next year will get us much closer.
