i think i'm looking past this to the Giants game. And i know i shouldn't, or at least i hope the players are not (don't think they are at all)

because the Giants game is like a fork in the road to me. We win that game good things will come we lose, it feels like the same as last year.

Actually it will feel worse than last year. If we lose this game, a lot of unanswered questions that many have deluded themselves into believing have been answered will bare the ugly truth, and I can easily envision an outcry of hostility and resentment being hurled like stones towards Rivera, J.R. and even Gettleman in my opinion.  The state of detente that many Panthers fans have had with the management (or mismanagement as it were) of this organization will cease to exist, and all hell will break loose.

The giants have a great receiving corps and a great DLine. Thats a terrible matchup for us

I'm not as high on their dline as I once was. JPP is the tits but their DT situation isn't stellar. I like our matchup vs their oline better than theirs vs ours. Eli will have trouble finding open receivers if he's on his back. Granted they don't switch to quick passes nullifying our dline.

    • Some of us may forget when Drew Brees “wasn’t” the great QB we faced in New Orleans. Prior to his HOF career, he was an afterthought in Dan Diego that was particularly liked by his coach Marty Schottenheimer.  But we all see how that turned out.  Bryce may never be the 2nd coming of Brees but let’s give him and the staff time to help him reach his potential.
    • Here’s another that we fans should keep in mind: Sometimes greatness takes time. Mahomes had the benefit of sitting a season behind Alex Smith after the Chiefs traded up to take him with the 10th pick in the 2017 NFL Draft. Young, last year’s top pick, started 16 games as a rookie, going 2-14, absorbing 62 sacks and posting the league’s worst passer rating.

He throws a really good ball,” Patrick Mahomes said. “I think Texas Tech was the first one to offer him when he was in eighth grade. I was at Texas Tech, so I remember watching his highlight tapes then and knew he was going to be a great player.”
