Coaches manipulate the "captain" thing all the time....

 

They will assign them themselves.

 

They will assign some and let some be voted

 

They will dictate if they are up for any player or a certain should from each side of the ball

 

Schiano could easily manipulate the vote...he doesn't have to let them vote to begin with.

he didn't show up for the team picture and there was a meeting prior to the game on sunday. freeman wasn't named captain. it's no secret that schiano isn't really a fan of freeman and it's no secret that his own players have been unhappy with him and his coaching staff. one of the coaches got into a shoving match with his player last year and another player after getting beat asked if they can't send those coaches back to college.

 

it's not hard to put the pieces together.
