Seeing this thread has ruined my morning for a second straight day.

I kept thinking this was a joke or some kind of hoax or bad dream.

Considering the piss poor shape we are in with at guard, I just don't understand signing a DT that clearly is not NFL material.

 

What are we missing?

I just cannot believe how much this irritates me even a day later. What is the fascination with this guy? Why do we try so hard to keep him on the roster?

 

 

The biggest question is what are the odds a practically completely healthy Dwan edwards gets held out sunday just so Rivera can get his lover out on the field?

the most comical part of it is that Fua doesn't even address the missing 3 tech we'd have if Edwards was inactive. He certainly hasn't earned any reps in place of Star or Cole and he has no ability to play the 3 tech. Don't get me wrong, he doesn't have the ability to play the NT either but it's his designated spot.

 

 

With a slew of other areas bleeding, somebody in that front office lept at the opportunity to bring this clown back. If you wanted to go DL there were plenty of other guys this preseason who played well enough to earn a shot. instead we resigned the guy who flailed like the same convulsing fish against 2nd and 3rd stringers that he did against starters.

I went and looked up Sione's college plays to try and see what the appeal was with this guy and all I found was that he had no business being drafted.

Clearly Schula will lineup Fua as a tight-end on screen plays. (Calling it now. Chip Kelly's gonna be copying plays from The Schu.)

 

1. Fua will release the defensive end so he can get to the 2nd level and try to block. (Since he's always downfield even as a DT.)
