I think people are way too quick to assume that bc we faced Seattle.... a team Cam didn't fling it around with crazy Ole Chud as our OC....is done flinging the rock

People also seem to forget that we only scored one TD last year with Chud and his so called gunslinging offense.  I was okay with the game plan.  People say well if we opened it up more.  What if we opened it up more?  There could have been some serious turnovers and we could have lost by twenty or so points.

Ive come to the conclusion that Shula's offense is very polarizing. You either hate it or love it. People that love clock control, conservative, old school ground and pound football will love Shula's offense. Those who like shootout type offenses where QBs put up 400 plus passing yards and deep bombs down field are going to hate it.

What people seem to forget is Cam has only won one game when throwing a pick, just one! I say keep Cam in this offense it drastically reduces the chance of interceptions and keeps the overall morale alive.

I persnally hate deep vertical offenses, why? Sure, you might score a TD in just a matter of minutes but that just means more snaps for your defense to tire out and get worn down. Im all for any kind of playcalling that keeps our offense on the field for the longest possible time therefore Im a big proponent of Shula ball. Infact, if you love offense it makes more sense to love Shula ball because that just means the offense will keep the ball for a lot longer periods of time.

I never got the appeal of gun slinging offenses that try to score TDs in just a few drives, I love that pig skin, I want my offense with that football for as long as humanly possible, I dont like it when opposing offenses have the ball. Maybe im just crazy for wanting to keep the opposing offense on the bench for as long as possible and with Shula ball, thats what you get and I love it.

Losing mostly begets picks, not the other way around

This is basically how sports works now

When Brady lost in the SB ... The talk of does this tarnish his legacy came up....which blows my mind.

Uh .... I think the wins stay for life.... elway is a two time SB winner not... Well he is .500..

You cannot penalize a guy for taking his team to the SB mutiple times... But praise Eli as the Ultimate clutch QB. Bc he is 2 for 2.. He has been to it less!!!

Shula n company had it.. They are just coaching for a highly impatient fanbase that needs to get back to back winning seasons desperately... Until then no dice.

Yeah Russell Wilson got lucky a lot.

Sent from my SCH-I545 using CarolinaHuddle mobile app

Teams that find a way to win, often do have good luck on their side. When Carolina went to the Superbowl, we had a ton of luck on our side that season including that Rams game when more easy field goals were somehow missed then I can count. Of course, you could argue the botch Kasey kick against the Patriots was "bad luck" but more often than not - during the Fox era - we got really lucky.

This current team does not have a lot of luck on their side.

Delhomee was an average QB who was lucky a lot. Cam is an amazing QB who doesn't really get any breaks. Think about how often we loose now. We can be up by 40 at halftime and a find a way to fold. It's like a broken record every Sunday.

Until that changes... it is what it is. BUT I remember Jake throwing that touchdown to Dante Rosario against the Chargers with just seconds left, and I miss that. Admit it, when you saw that happen, you knew it was going to be a special year. When I saw DeAngelo cough up a potential game winning touchdown against Seattle, the feeling wasn't the same. :)

Our only TD against Seattle last year was a pick six

the only thing that is going to convince me that shula isn't the bad game manager that i think he is is for this offense to score more points and help this team win games.

every excuse i've seen for the offense not producing might be right. they might be valid, but it's not nearly enough to show that he's not who i thought he is. the fact that there were players screwing up doesn't prove that i and others were wrong about shula.

the only thing that is going to convince me is the offense being able to put up at least the amount of points per week that they did with chud when things were clicking and chud wasn't dicking around.

same thing with this team being playoff quality...i've got to see this team actually win. i don't care how convincing an argument smitty makes about how good and special this team is. unless it actually wins games and can get a quicker start winning them, it's still the same underachieving team it's been for years, full of potential to be a winner and excuses for not winning.

lot's of hype and excitement for this team exists, but they need to earn it.

Shula came in with a rep of unimaginative..ineffective... Low scoring offense. So far he has not one anything to disprove it... Hiding Cam...career low in pass yards...7 points.. It is pretty bleah.

However Chud gave us two of the highest scoring and yardage seasons in Panther history and the fanbase could not wait to get im out of town.

If we got a win how many posts would we have praising his genius ball control gameplan would we have?

i wouldn't be. i'd still be worried that because he thought it worked the first week that it should work every week.

i need to see that offense opened up to feel good about it.
