Yeah this is what I'm afraid of. I think the message Goodell is sending is that if he gets penalized for 15 yards just expect the book to be thrown at him. I'm not sure if it will affect his play negatively but I don't want there to be a trend of making players hesitant to make a play in the backfield because of how the NFL has you under the microscope.

 

 

 

But do you not think that Suh, given his history for dirty play, deserves a little extra scrutiny?  I mean really?

 

There's a list of these guys for both on field and off field issues that deserve extra scrutiny...

 

 

On field, Incognito also comes to mind...

Here's Suh's rebuttal to the fine.

 

"Really you just play football, that's all I can do," Suh told reporters. "... I don't change, I'm going to always play tough, hard, that's the way I was brought up at Nebraska, where I really learned football from the Pelinis and that staff and continue to play hard, play blue-collar football."
