3rd and 2 ... Handoff to Deangelo....

Our run game isn't going to hold up when Williams literally doesn't take a single run in the A gap.

Williams ran well. With what he did. Overall he wasn't good though...b/c he couldnt hang on to the ball. But it is still a concern....will be easier on opponents to take away if that doesn't change.

I don't think the sky is falling. Why? Bc I don't overreact to one game. I also don't think Williams and our ground attack suddenly is cured....bc of one game either.

I don't still don't think Williams will be our best option.....when Stewart, Barner and Tolbert all get healthy and the season continues.

Fred Jackson ran well too this week....doesn't mean he is what he was

I would respond to this but Son's of Anarchy is on. Me & you can go back and forth all day... I'll see you on Sunday. I am pretty sure you will say something crazy and I will have to talk some sense into you.

Bouncing outside on 2nd and 2 when there are two defender with outside leverage on your TE is a good way to get yourself fired.

If it was 3rd down and if Olson had his guy sealed inside, you have a point. But neither is true so you are just wrong.

What this really shows is awful runblocking by every lineman not named Kalil.

The only thing that matters in the NFL is winning.  Period.

If any of you hear what is being said and aren't concerned about, that's pretty interesting.

1.  HC says 'we should have thrown more'...my goodness, don't you wear a headset, can't you call upstairs and say fix this

2.  Shula says he called the plays and Newton says he didn't call them.  That is the worst statement of all.  Then, you know

what the two of you talk and find routes than get 10 years at a time.

3.  The TE, who is suppose to be Newton's 'go to' guy isn't catching, find some other route for some other player.

These 3 things are NOT an example of a winning football team, and not an example of coaches and a QB who have played together in some capacity for 3 years.

All the excuses in the world do not change the lack of leadership and communication that these 3 things illuminate.

There is a root cause to the Panthers problems and its obvious.  I sincerely hope that is obvious to Gettleman as well.

Again, beat a  superior team it matters.  Other NFL teams manage to produce upsets.  The Panthers don't.

newton said shula did call downfield plays. newton decided to not pull the trigger and played conservative.

this debate is heated enough without bad info being tossed in.

first you are correct.

second, I went back 3 times before you posted to try and redress the statement and 3 times, there were IE page issues.

The bottom line is this, the head coach is responsible for his players, the game plan review and signoff and the adjustment.  should he listen to his QB, should he listen to is Cs, yes he should but HE is in charge.

Game Day corrections are needed and game day effective communication is required.

for the 3rd year, that is not happening.

I want Rivera to succeed.  I have too much invested financially in this team to not want him to succeed, but, this little farce on Sunday can't be tolerated.  If he does not want that responsibility, then go be a DC   most ricky-tic.'  for the FMJ fans.

We get it, you don't think D-will has it, Barner does.

Barner was about as useful to us Sunday, unfortunately, as J-stew was. He was hurt, so a lot of good he is to us.

The play seemed to call to go up the middle, so it didn't go outside, oh well. Maybe if his lineman blocked, we get the first?

Observations? Its 3rd and 2.

Zod, quick question. Just a one word answer will be fine.

We're playing a team with 3 banged up D-Linemen and the best secondary in the league. then YOU create a thread showing how DWill turned an easy 15 yard gain (at least) into a punt, cuz he didnt see the lane/couldnt make the cut/saw it too late/whatever.

Gameplan or execution?

:) ill wait
