Anyone else notice a couple of things in this current Skins vs Eagles game?

Or maybe you aren't considering their QB is trying to come back from a blown out knee in record time and his mechanics and timing are WAY off. It doesn't really matter the play calls or coaching, dude isn't 100%.

Miguel, you always seem so against fellow fans for simply stating how they feel about their team.

Show me proof that our head coach and OC don't suck to this point in time. Shula has a history of conservatively coaching himself out of jobs, therefore, he has sucked at pretty much every place he has coached - otherwise, he'd still be there. He now has one game as a playcalller with us, with probably the most uniquely talented and gifted player in pro football, and it sucked. He has to prove differently. Rivera as a head coach... I'm still not getting where the Rivera defense brigade are coming from. He has given absolutely no reason for fans to support him, unless you expect people to be idiots and pretend he's a good coach simply because he IS our current coach.

So why are our fans so dumb and the "least knowledgeable" in football? Because most of us are tired of having the franchise piss on us while telling us it's raining?

The thing is, coaches can get better at their jobs just like any other profession.  Jim Caldwell recruited me to play at Wake Forest, and this was after he pulled a coup and got C.J. Leak to sign with him instead of Notre Dame.  His playcalling got that kid murderlized.  Then he went and struggled at first in Indy.  Then he had success there.  Now look at the success he had with Baltimore in the playoffs.

People get mad because some Panther fans are always ready to fap over the league's new toy.  It was the same way when we didn't try and get Spurrier or Saban to be our coach.  Now they are coaching college again.  Let Kelly coach more than one half of one game in one season before annointing him the next dynasty coach in the league.  Hell, there was even a post about how Cam is going to join him in two years.  That is why people say shite like "least knowledgeable" in football.

No this is not a- I wish Chip Kelly was our HC- thread. But I admire offensive minds that know how to manipulate formations.

The Eagles have what I like to call the older more fragile version of Cam Newton in Michael Vick. I just kept imagining Cam in those situations. What would happen if we ran that type of play and up tempo offense? Shula does not strike me as a ballsy signal caller, Zod knows. In the first game he showed some really good play calling for the most part. It is a learning process for him no doubt, I just hope he is a fast learner and is taking notes from our game against the Seahawks and maybe even taking notes on this game. Cam is the ultimate weapon. Use him correctly please.

The second thing I noticed that really makes me abhor ESPN, is that RG3 is sucking it up so bad, that they never mention him and sophomore slump in the same sentence. He is ¨Rusty¨.  Right, because he is immune to a sophomore slump right? ESPN makes me sick.

You're welcome!

My oh my how long this thread is. Couldn't help but notice the many many people who "wish" Chip Kelly was our coach.... Very interesting indeed

The NFL right now is debating the fiesablility of the League moving to 18 game seasons, and what would it be like when the NFL switches to that. see where I'm going here? in College you normaly play up to 13 games, and thats with younger college players, what is going to happen over a much longer season with older players with a more even playing field. it's a serious question that needs answering.

.

If the NFL goes to an 18 game schedule, its pretty much guaranteed they'll expand the rosters.

To be clear, Jerry said nothing bad about Jim Harbaugh. He just said the team hadn't been in contact with him.

The person he dumped on was Darin Gantt. Gantt had been the one reporting that we were secretly pursuing Harbaugh.

Harbaugh actually finished his playing career here.

I'm aware of the DG - JR situation, but the problem wasn't what JR said, it was more how he said it. IIRC, he did say "WHO?" and basically said he didn't know him or of him but, he was sure he was a nice guy, or something of that nature. Considering how big of a name Harbaugh has been for many, many years, it came off as pretty dismissive and disrespectful.

unquote

For all we know, JR could very well have already had discussions with Harbaugh and was purposely coming off that way because he knew it wasn't happening, or perhaps he just didn't want Harbaugh and wanted to stop that train before it ever left the station. Who knows? But, it definitely didn't do us any favors in the court of public opinion.
