Coaches they get fired in midseason generally have more things going on than losing records. As often as not, there's locker room division or the whole team is just a dumpster fire.

For whatever the fans think, Rivera is still very well liked by the players and the team morale is fine. For that matter, when was the last time the stadium didn't sell out, even in a bad season?

Those signs doing exactly point to a mid-season termination.

This season is not only about winning, and getting better, but it's about bringing the fanbase back together. Back behind this team. Something like another winless start (especially considering how we've come out of the bye the last two seasons) going into the bye would be enough to cause chaos in the fanbase.

I would love nothing more than for us to go on some incredible winning streak, Rivera proves he isn't incompetent and we ride into the sunset with Super Bowl wins.

I, however, have not seen anything that would give me faith to make me believe that Rivera can do that.

My original post in this thread, and most of the comments of this thread, are based upon the hypothetical of what would happen if we were to go 0-2, 0-3.

I'm not saying that's what is going to happen. I assumed you would know that given the amount of the word "if", and other conditional terms, that I used.

Fast forward 2 weeks. There is 1 of 2 possible scenerios...

 

 

A. The Panthers are 0-2 and fighting just to stay relevant in only week 3.

 

 

B. The Panthers are 1-1 and could possibly take the division lead with a win at home against the Giants.

 

 

That is two very different scenarios, and a huge exclamation point on just how important this game is Sunday against the Bills.

2-1 by the break and I'll be amazed. I have zero confidence in the coaching staff. The only chance is for the defense to score points and force multiple turnovers. Guys better prepare for 0-3 and another wasted year. Look for Rivera to be a DC next year on another staff.

Eagles hire a dynamic Head Coach and are currently pounding the Skins 26-7 at the half.

Us, hoping to stay relevant week 2.
