What a difference a single game makes

Fast forward 2 weeks. There is 1 of 2 possible scenerios...

A. The Panthers are 0-2 and fighting just to stay relevant in only week 3.

B. The Panthers are 1-1 and could possibly take the division lead with a win at home against the Giants.

That is two very different scenarios, and a huge exclamation point on just how important this game is Sunday against the Bills.

i mentioned in another thread how similar this is to last year (largely because it's the giants in week three.)

the difference is way played better against legit superbowl contenders in week one this year than we did against the lame-ass bucs last year. there's no question we're a better team than the 2012 squad.

i think we take the bills handily and go toe-to-toe with the giants.

It would be interesting to see just how quickly the fanbase disengages if we do go 0-2 with a loss to BUFFALO. I posted that thing about us not being over .500 since 2008, I think that is suffocating this fanbase. I volunteer with local high school kids and I've never seen so much apathy after an Opening Day loss. After years of torment, the margin of error this franchise has with fans is razor thin.

if we are 0-3, and of course depending how we get there, RR could be gone during the bye week.

Problem, who would we put at HC?

If a new staff comes in, would hate to lose McDermot with what we have going on on that side of the ball, obviously this would be an offseason problem.

a friend of mine recently turned me on to a bunch of Phil Hellmuth "angry" vids for some laughs. The one I found most interesting was from Phil Ivey. He said something to the degree of "Players that dont expect to lose sometimes have trouble figuring out what to do when theyre in that situation" or to paraphrase 'they didnt prepare enough to be in that situation'.

Not sure if it has significance or not, but I was thinking about it. . .

Talent wise yes.

Coaching wise.... not so sure.

there were times during the game yesterday, where I felt this is the best Panthers team we've ever fielded.
