I think that one of the Panthers defenses biggest flaws is the inability to react quickly enough to a hurry up offense.  Its something we have been working on under our new coach, and if we can set you guys on your heels early in the game I think youre done for.  I caught the tail end of your game against Seattle and your d looked whipped.

 

well, we lost part of our DE rotation very early on b/c he was ejected from the game.  That gave more reps to our DEs and messed up the rotation flow.  Our offense only had 3 possessions in the 2nd half........so yeah, they were a little tired up front.  

 

Did you see the pressure they put on Wilson up until the very end.  I don't think EJ, if he gets that, will have his team in it late.

I think the Bills d is going to cause big time fits for the Panthers. Our d is underated and kept Brady on his heels most of the game- and you know how quick Brady is to get the ball out.  Newton seems to hold the ball for a long time.  Didnt you guys lose one of your starting o lineman already  for the season?

 

yeah, but the "starter" was basically just one of a group of meh Gs.  Someone techincally had to start there.  Kind of a wash there in terms of who is playing the RG spot.

 

You can't pressure Brady and Newton the same.  What works against Brady can't be applied to Newton....and vice versa.  You can get over aggressive with Brady with your pass rush.  Can't do that with Newton.

 

Did your D play any of the mobile guys last year?  I can't recall if you did and how your D attacked that type QB

Seems to me we aren't going to take anyone lightly.  We lost to KC last year, I would think that Rivera might be mentioning that if anyone gets cocky.  Buffalo has a very good defense.  Hopefully our offense is better at this point and we are playing them in September instead of December which bodes well for us I hope.
