One ridiculous Cam play

I think it was the 4th quarter, 3rd and 10 or so, maybe 12.  It was the play Cam got facemasked, I would love to see another video of this:

 

He evades getting sandwhiched by two DE's(one of them pulls his facemask), then he drops his shoulder and trucks another defender, then he somehow gets the ball off to Tolbert.  Tolbert gains a few but we get the first down because of the facemask penalty on Bennet. 

 

The will is there, the skill is there, I think he is going to have a great season once things start clicking.

Yeah that was a great play, I don't think anyone in the NFL besides Cam and maybe Ben Roethisburger could have escaped that.

It was an awesome individual play.  But it was one of very few instances that Seattle helped us out.  We were dead in the water there.

Unleash Cam and he is hard to stop. He should do more of his runs again, however I kind of liked the patient play calling yesterday (at least most of the time).

I don't think it was a facemask on the play. If it was I missed it in the replay. It looked to me that the Seahawks' player got his hand in Cam's shoulder pads and cam had his head down when it happened, the ref on the opposite side interpreted the jerky motion from the tug on the shoulder pad and Cam's helmet being down as a face mask.

 

Either way, it was a great escape from a collapsed pocket. But after the escape it only result in a small check-down. Wilson launched his pass about 30 yards for a completion when he escaped traffic.

Wasn't a facemask but still a blow to the head.  Still a penalty and still 15 yards.  You can not touch a quarterbacks head.  Thats been the rule for who knows how long.  And both defenders reached up and smacked the poo out of his head.  Tolbert had his facemask ripped too on that play.  Easily could have been 30 yards in penalty yardage.

i think they are a pretty decent team, they were on tv up here along with the Jets/Buccs game so I was watching both those along with the Panthers, they should have beaten NE.  

 

Other than the heartbreak fumble yesterday, i felt pretty good about our team.  yea we could have been better, and we will be.  7 points will never be enough, but there is reason for optimism, at least right now.

there have been reasons to be optimistic for years now...  until they earn optimism there is no reason to feel it.

The Seattle player didn't grab the facemask specifically but, when Cam ducked his head, he DID grab under the edge of Cam's helmet.

Grabbing ANY part of the helmet falls under the "facemask" rule.

I thought for sure Cam was going down when that happened... have no fuging idea how he escaped it.  Would love to see a video or gif.
