When can we blame Cam?

Panthers front 7 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Sea front 7

By a mile.

Which makes up for deficiencies in the secondary.

Cam had plenty of time. Lanes were open.

Wilson was running for his life all game. We were stuffing there run game.

Should have never lost this game.

*cough cough* Cam had 23 passing attempts today completing 16 of them for a % of 70 (which is a good completion percentage). Are you saying that he should have called more passing plays for himself? Just in case you did not know, teams have what we call an offensive cordinator who is supposed to be doing that.

I am convinced from this thread that people just watch the game and do not invest in it mentally. How can you not know that a QB stats is a reflection of the game plan? We were running well with the ball so why ask Cam to chug it? As soon as we stopped Seattles run, we forced RW to keep throwing the ball and that ended in his FIRST career regular season 300yds passing game (second if you include the postseason).

I really don't get your point but I do feel anger lashing out at random strangers. Russell Wilso threw the majority of his passes under 15 yards. They then broke for extra yards because we play a zone defense. We give him a near 100% chance of completing the underneath routes. That is our scheme. I still don't know how Cam got into a Russel Wilson discussion. Cam doesn't even play defense.

He should be able to state his opinion, he wasn't rude about it and made an unpopular argument that he knew would get bashed. I don't like internet bullies, didn't like Bwood, don't like you.

How noble of you I'm so glad knowing I have somebody here to protect my feelings if i start infecting others with mindless rantings.

My point remains. Cam is a gunslinger like Favre and Cutler. He'll never be a precision passer

WHAT? He threw like a freaking demon. The kid can toss a rock!!! That is the least of your problems.

The problems wit the O lie elsewhere. This from a guy who spent the week pointing out Wildson was more accurate. He was carving us up. Why they didn't keep running the ball and going with the short and intermediate passes at an up tempo...baffled.

You guys had a 5+++ yard average, for chrissake!

Luxury?? You beat the poor guy half to death! Time of possession was almost dead even. Why in the name the football gods was your line tired? We were the ones playing at 10 AM. were the ones dominated by the other team's D line, were the ones who could not possibly stand against your D line.

Yet, at the end of the game, our O line seemed stronger, your D line weaker.

Not what I expected. Not what you expected, so why? What wore your D out in the Carolina humidity and heat as opposed to the Seahawks?

(Hint: Seattle practices at game tempo. Send a memo to your coach.)

It was a good game plan for Seattle to roll Wilson out of the pocket and force our d-line line to chase him all over BOA.

It didn't help matters that one of our backup DEs was ejected from the game for giving a Seahawk player a shove in his facemask. With our full rotation our guys would have had more energy at the end.

Bottom line, it was a close game like I expected. Seattle barely escaped with a win, just like last season. Sh!t happens.

I'll take the gunslinger comparison, but Cam doesnt have the football IQ like the good to great QBs in this league. IMO, Cam's ability to make and create plays and highlight reels all comes from his gifted athleticism. A QB needs to have a high QB of football knowledge. Im not saying Cam doesnt have one, but from watching his rookie days to now I'm not seeing much. Cam struggles at times and it affect his plays. I wouldn't put his football IQ up there with the other young QBs. Thats my honest opinion. I've seen more than enough games now.

Football IQ? What plays did he miss? Who was wide open that he didn't throw to? C'mon, expound on your vast array of football IQ that can apparently watch a football game on TV and know more about what was happening on the field than an NFL quarterback. What annoys me about these accusations of football IQ is that people who couldn't tell the difference between a slant and a dig route will run their mouth about football "IQ" like they have a damn clue what they're talking about.

Fact:  Cam has orchestrated 7 4th quarter comeback leads and tied another game with less than 5:00 to play in his short career.  The defense has blown 6 of those 8 opportunities.

And I am not blaming the defense for all those losses, but this is in regard to "clutchness"
