Cam Newton posts a better QBR than Russell Wilson

IMO, this team needs to get out there and just play the damn game. I'm beginning to think the problem with this team is more psychological. Every team has weaknesses. This team just seems afraid to win.

The Panthers need to go play football and they need to let their QB do what he does best. 150 yds....Really?! And why am I not surprised at how quick some of you are at praising Russel despite his mistakes. Yet, u will sit there and carry on endlessly over Cam over throwing a damn ball. SMDH

Russell surely did throw up some prayers that were answered. It looks like a team that does the little things to win.  Special teams and turnovers made the difference.  The offenses and defenses were evenly matched.  We have to learn how to play our best at critical times like they did.  Cam did a good job and Shula had the running game cooking.  This is the kind of balanced offense everyone talks about wanting to have.  We made drive killing mistakes at critical times and shot ourselves in the foot. Shula and Rivera can't make the players execute properly, only the players can.  I want to see how we play against Buffalo before I decide whether to panic.  Can't say I am not disappointed though.  Hoarse too. Our fans were up on third down yelling and cheering.  It  has been a few years since I was as excited about this defense as this year.  I hope they live up to my expectations.

And had an offensive line that gave him decades to throw. Greg Roman just called an exquisite 3rd down play, though.

The offensive line wasn't all pro in 2011 when Cam was lighting it up. But since then the offense has looked like Ron has completely neutered it. Greg Roman is taking his third year QB and making him the focal point of the offense, and he put up superstar numbers today. In SF, they know who to build the offense around. Carolina doesn't because we're still trying to force DeAngelo to be the centerpiece when he's nowhere near as effective as Cam could be and past his prime

You don't see Roman taking the ball put of Kaep's hands and stubbornly giving it to Gore.
