Won't win until Ron Rivera is fired

Some of you will say that you knew Rivera was the wrong man for the job, and he shouldn't have been brought back. I wanted to give him credit for the way last season ended.

But the entire Rivera tenure came into focus for me today. In close games, we play pretty well for three quarters. Then somehow we always lose the fourth quarter, and lose the game.

I have no faith in Rivera anymore. The Carolina Panthers will not get to the postseason until he is gone. Maybe we won't even get to .500 until he's gone. I've had enough of him, and though it won't happen, I wouldn't mind seeing him fired tomorrow morning.

I also think those who doubted Shula' playcalling ability were right. I had no expectations for him coming in. I wanted to give him a blank slate to work with. But, while he handled the balance between traditional running plays and the read option the way I hoped he would, I didn't think he used Cam enough. The running game was inconsistent, and I didn't think Cam got enough opportunities to make plays.

How many 4th quarter leads has Riveras teams blown. Dwill was the symptom today but Rivera is the disease. Hiring Shula as the OC was lol stupid. Just ask Keyshawn Johnson.

JR needs to sell this team to someone who cares about winning. This is crazy.

/ end rant.

This is why I think Rivera should be fired. I can't explain what causes it, but for some reason Ron Rivera-coached football teams just don't finish games well.

Whatever! Same bs rhetoric that has been spilt for last two years! I'm over it now! I don't think players or fans realized how major this game was for the purpose of a confidence turnaround!

We will struggle to win in Buffalo, then get blown out by the Giants! The team will go about this year in a lackadaisical manner and we will be lucky to close out the year 6-10!

Sorry, but as the most optimistic person here.....we are screwed!

Good news? We are like the 2010 49ers! The right staff and we explode! I do trust in Gman to make it happen!

This year is a wash, but I will still attend a game or two and cheer them on to many more close but sure fire losses

It's not Madden ya know... Guys drop passes and fumble. I give Seattle credit for making plays when it counted, the Panthers didnt... Bottom line. It wasn't coaching that's for sure.

Lol...I know its not Madden. In Madden I win. As a Panthers fan I lose. I've watched this team since day one.  I've watched some great moments but those are diluted now with failure. The reasons for the failure we can debate but the reality is still failure. We can blame coaches, players, refs, fans, the ball bouncing the other teams way, bad luck, injuries, weather, etc.... Did you not see the thread that this franchise has nit had a winning record since December 2008?

We have to make it through this, another mediocre year of Panther football.

Next year this team will completely have Gettlemens' stamp on it in player personnel, cap management and most important, Coaching Staff.

Meanwhile, prepare for 7-9.

Should change the name to the Nu Raiders. Im sick of mediocre football.

Biggest reason why we lost today: The team was unfocused, sloppy, undisciplined, and Armond Smith literally didn't even know the rules of the game.

Ron Rivera needs to be shown the door.

You have it right but wrong... Rivera took his foot off the gas up 7-3. To me he played "not to lose" football. We have seen this game under Rivera a dozen times it seems like.

Why didnt they fire this guy last year? So silly.

LOL, yea we got "Fox Ball" back and losing because of it. Now, Fox is the figure head under Elway/Manning and his team is throwing up 49 points...don't see that conservative play calling from him anymore do we? But, then again...he has an actual offense (with some dam WRs) to work with...

lets see what happens next week, but I have never liked LaFail and RR is a "players coach" and it's not working, might be time to bring in a hard arse, because the culture of losing is still alive and well for the Panthers...sadly.

Ah, not really. Jerry makes a lot of bad decisions. I bet you wouldn't say it was "classless" if someone said this about Al Davis or Jerry Jones. Be objective, man.

Objectively speaking, anybody talking about hoping someone dies over football is a classless dumbass. I don't care who they're referencing.

Cause Jerry didn't want to pay two coaches.
