On the Eve of Panther football 2013

Over the last 8 months or so.  I have pissed a few of you off.  Some have called me names and I have retaliated and I may have spewed more than I should have.  No excuses I am a Panther fan as deep in my soul as many of you are.

I follow this team and many times all I ever get to see is highlight and follow what the Game thread tells me. Or the game tracker on NFL.com or CBSsports.com.  Try being over sees and trying to stream a game.  Where it seems every time a crucial play one way or the other, I lose connection or the stream pauses.  I don't have sports bar I can go to.  If I am lucky AFN is show it.  This year I don't even have that luxury.  Anyhow, not the point of my thread.   Just pointing out how deeply I follow this team.

What I am posting about is.  Those of you I piss off or whatever.  I AM SORRY.  Those of you the dislike we have a common bond.  We love our team we just see them in a different light.  Which is why we have this forum in the first place.  So I am burying the hatchet.  Calling a truce and hope I get some reciprocation.  The truth is we all want to go 16-0 and make the playoffs and dread the 0-16 that could happen.  Hopefully we are closer to the 16-0 then we are the 0-16.

Good Luck Panther Fans.

I feel a banner year.

One final thing.  This is the best forum I have been to.   I think the fans are far more levelheaded that most forums.  Zod and crew you run a great program and I am happy to have been apart of this forum for many many years.

Dave, I commend you for having the 360px-Common-nuts.png

to post this. You basically said what I have wanted to say. My first several posts on this forum were indeed anti-Cam. I did not like Cam at Auburn. I did not like Cam as the #1 overall draft-pick by the Panthers. I still didn't like him in his rookie season (although he did play well). I had a problem with the whole attitude he had. Icon, entertainer, hiding behind a towel, acting like a fool at press conferences. And in hindsight, I realize that was not the best way to enter this forum. And also in hindsight, I realize I was wrong.

Right before preseason, I re-watched all of the Panther games from 2012. All 16. And somewhere around the eighth or ninth game, I noticed a change in Cam.

It somehow seemed that he cared. Not coincidentally, the team starts to win games. In the last game of the season, Cam suffered what appeared to be a serious injury. He walked it off, and came back in and led our team to victory. And he was happy about it. That's all I ever wanted. A QB who only cared about winning. A QB who does the "superman" pose when he is dominating, not while his team is being dominated. I truly think Cam has turned a corner as far as leadership goes.

So, I admit I was wrong. I'm glad Cam is our QB. I really think the future is limitless. For the ones I have pissed off, (specifically TheRed), I admit my ignorance, and remind you that we are all in the same boat. The Panthers will make us sink or swim. At least right now, we are all treading water.
