Do you remember our defensive rosters from 2011 and 2012? It's a goddamn miracle that they were as good as they were last year considering how limited they were from a personnel standpoint. 

 

Rivera took two different teams using two different schemes (3-4 and a 4-3) from bottom two, in the bears and san diego, to THE number one ranked defense in three years. This is year three for Carolina, and our defense looks to be poised to for a top 5 run. Give credit where credit is due.

See Rivera was an elite Defensive coordinator..and has an offseason to prepare for the Russel Wilson show.

SD gave Peyton fits with much less prep and now that the defense has been significantly upgraded....Rivera, Mc D and gang should have a good idea on what to do with them.
