Good, it never made sense to me to have special teams guys as captains while the starting QB had to wait to unseat Smitty or Gross. This time, the top 6 vote getters got the "C" and that's the way it should work.

agree, i always hated having to shoehorn a special-teamer into a captain slot just because.

Disagree, he seems fine handing that role off the Luke.

 

He does. . he does. Having the C and being the leader isnt the same thing to me though. I just think leaders arent easily replaced. I think Luke IS a leader and not only shows it but does it well, but Beason is the guy they will come to when team puts a player "representative" forward. Beas is the guy that does the talking. Even this preseason and off-season, he still did.

 

They'll interview Luke but when it comes time for sitdowns in the studio, lets see who they bring in. When Suggs joined the Ravens, they didnt stop interviewing Ray Lewis. Very different but not too far off of a bad example.

I think he still does, which scares the hell out of me... that surgically repaired knee only has but so many miles left on it, would like to see those conserved for his role as a LB.

Wow nfl network even talking up Cam now.. they just said the 2nd half of last season Cam rivaled any qb, and he really didn't have a sophomore slump. First time I've heard them lay off the sophomore slump poo.

To tell you the turth the Seattle game would be a good time to give a little media love to Carolina. Most victors only gain notoriety through who they beat right? A good Seahawks team with a touted young QB should be just the defeated opponent we need to draw some more viewers to us around the nation.

Id be fine with Luke as our leader, thrilled, he's a fantastic charming dude and I got a chance to thank him for everything he does about 2 weeks ago. You and JT seem to think I dont like Luke and that he smells bad. . . well he did just finish practice but thats besides the point.

Thomas Davis clearly has the regenerative abilities of Wolverine or Deadpool so I suppose he'll be a captain on this team until he's in his late forties and decides he's bored with football.
