Michael Beasley

I know he has been garbage most of his career, but still shows flashes of talent and potential on any given night. Don't bash me too hard because nobody's even thought about starting a basketball thread since training camp started, but could Beasley help out the Bobcats? He was released yesterday from the Suns.-

I think he would be a great backup PF if he could stay out of trouble.

I've always liked him and thought he was a beast in college. I think he just needs a good team around him where he can be the go to scorer but also have plenty of help.

We could help if he came here. He would have a nice distribution in Kemba. Some nice post play with big al and zeller. Hell if need be we could go small sometimes and have a sweet lineup, not too mention super fast.

With

Kemba

Sessions/Henderson

MKG

Beasley

Zeller.

That's a fast lineup. But you def couldn't keep them out there long or they would get killed in the post.

But honestly yes I would love to have him for the right price.

We fall out of the Top 10, we lose our 1st rounder.

This cannot happen. Leave the lineup alone with the addition of Big Al, let the young guys play more/develop this year and prove themselves. Like it or not, there's a good chance Kemba/MKG/Zeller's replacement could be on their way in the 2014 draft, so the staff needs to know what they have IMO.

Always liked Beasley. The man can drop 40 a night every now and then. He would be a nice pick up and great off the bench, but I would consider us a playoffs lock if he was to come here. Would you guys be willing to trade a Top5 pick for Beasley?

No need to trade, he was waived by the Suns. He is available to all teams. I don't see a large bidding war starting and think due to his previous troubles he could be had on the cheap.

I meant he would pretty much help guarantee us a Playoffs berth if we sign him. Would you be willing to trade a Top5 pick in next year draft to make the playoffs this season? For me, the answer would be no.

Ahhh... misunderstood. I find it difficult to believe that a guy like Beasley who just got cut is going to make the difference between playoffs or not. Although I do think he would be an upgrade to what we have, i don't think it is a significant increase to where we will jump in the standings 4 or 5 spots. We made major upgrades and will be a playoff contender with what we have. He has jumped around the league for a reason and it isn't because he has been helping teams make the playoffs.

Beasley would instantly add more offensive power house to the team. We'd probably win 35+ games and be the 8th seed. He also was cut due to money.

In the other hand, Beasley would be a good pick up for Miami.

For me, you go to the playoffs and still have two first rounders.

I just don't want to be in the same position we were in the last couple of years ago. We're still in a rebuilding process, I say stay with it for another year. Unless Kemba and MKG shows huge improvements, I don't want to be an 8th seed and getting knock out 4 straight games out of the playoffs.

Beasley drastically improving our team and hurting our draft position next year means that we would win 5-10 more games purely because of Beasley alone. This is so wrong it is hilarious. If he could affect our season that much, every team in the NBA would be knocking down his door, even with the drug issues... but he can't, so they aren't.

We have already dramatically upgraded our team this offseason, anyone that thinks we are still in the bottom 5 of the league and going to end up with a blue chip lottery pick does not know anything about the players we acquired, nor the state of some of the other teams in the NBA. A few NBA teams are obviously tanking in an attempt to land Wiggins, Parker, or Randle... and I hate to break the news top you, but the Bobcats are not one of those teams. With Beasley or not, we will be on the cusp of the playoffs in the East and will be drafting outside of your delusions.
