You can judge your friends musical taste based on this....

Prince, like Michael Jackson, is just one of those artists that transcends genres.   I'm really not a fan of pop or anything like that, but I can't deny the talent of these guys.

Plus Prince just used an image of his episode on Chappelle Show on his new single I believe.   Keeping it real.

Prince is one of my favorites as well. A musical genius.

Even just from a pure composer perspective, he stands alone, but his actual musical abilities as far as playing instruments is amazing. He also pretty much created new sounds throughout his career. Just always so innovative.

Might make me a cornball, but there is something about Little Red Corvette and When Dove's Cry that just always makes me feel like the coolest mf'er ever when I'm listening to them.

That cover image, and Prince being on Twitter now, have made him even more awesome in my eyes lately

Nice rendition, but why you'd have Petty singing leads for that group is a mystery.

As a side note just saw Heart at the Santa Barbara County Bowl from the 13th row.

This tour featured Jason Bonham's band and they joined up with Heart at the end.

Heart has always done Zeppelin Live better than Zeppelin.

I remember seeing an interview with him, from when he was a teenager, and he'd already mastered something like 20 instruments. He's truly a rare talent.

Kinda like Mozart, he's a musical genius the like of which has rarely been seen in the world. As Kevin Smith would attest though, he is a strange strange strange little man.

His name is one of those that gets brought up a lot when people talk about correlations between genius and insanity.

Wow! I have never seen that one. I used to have a live version with Clapton on my computer that completely blew my mind.

A lot of people think Clapton actually played that lead in the studio. If you look at the record, the Beatles used a session guitarist named Wally. AKA Eric Clapton. Def wasnt George playing it
