Saw Prince on his Lovesexy tour and he completely changed my opinion of him as an artist and musician. He was reasonably impressive through the first half of the show but after a very brief intermission he appeared on stage dressed like Jimi and proceeded to blow my mind with what he did with his axe. 

 

 

That was the last time I judged a musician BEFORE giving them a good long listen.

 

 

My wife dragged me along after I dragged her to a Pink Floyd show and we often argue over who came out on the better end of the deal.

Prince and Pink Floyd were by FAR two of the absolute best concerts that I have ever seen.

I remember seeing an interview with him, from when he was a teenager, and he'd already mastered something like 20 instruments.  He's truly a rare talent.
