How about those RED SOX!

Layne has looked solid so far also, and I think the addition of Ross to the bullpen will also be helpful for short and long relief. Here's hoping Tazawa and Breslow can solidify the bullpen, would be nice to be able to only need 6 from the starter and be able to slam the door from there.

I do not trust Ross at all. His numbers in Texas are beyond awful and I have no clue what they see in him.

he had a bad year last year for sure, but I'm hoping he can perform like he did his first 2 years when his ERA was 2.22 and 3.03 in 65 innings.

I will admit, there is nothing I would love more than to eat a big helping of crow where he and Masterson are concerned

Was just going to say I'm not so sure how much longer they can have Victorino out there stinking up the joint while Castillo is down in Pawtucket, but Castillo apparently hurt his shoulder and has to get it checked out.

May be a blessing in disguise as Victorino's stock can't get any lower and this may buy the sox enough time to get Victorino going and up that trade value.

He was someone I was keeping an eye on because we could desperately use a leadoff guy so we could bump every one down one spot in the order.

I still cant believe Victorino was given the starting job over Castillo.

I too was pissed when Castillo got sent down.  With all the trades we made during the offseason I wish we had tried to pawn him off on someone.  Yes he is set to make thirteen million but it is only for one year.  I am sure that there is a team that could have used his veteran presence and been willing to pay some of it and maybe given us a bullpen arm or something.
