I've heard that "The Life of Pi" was loosely based on the Huddle.  The character's were simply changed from a panther to a tiger, and from Zod to that young Indian man.  That kid's journey is all one big metaphor for the journey of Zod creating the Huddle. While shooting scantily clad women one day, he decided more time needed to be spent on the interweb with ugly guys talking about the Carolina Panthers. Delicious Pie derives from the title of said book/movie, to pay homage to the story he inspired. True story.
