because that was our last moment of relevance and it went down in horrible fashion. it's essentially the last taste in our mouths and it still lingers.

 

until we have at least a winning season to hang our hats on or another playoff win, that will be the watershed moment for the panthers. that will be the game that defined us until we redefine ourselves. so far, we're still a losing team and theres only one way to change that.

man i have so many good memories of the 2008 season. we were actually good so i was able to get a contingent of panthers fans together weekly to watch games... after that attrition during our years of mediocrity has bled the group down to where halfway through the season i'm the only one in front of the tv.

I will say this, Jake loved the game and played with intensity.They stayed with him much to long and we know the result of that, but when he could play he was a trooper. Haven't been many of those moments since.
