Person says Nakamura won't be staying

Nakamura is another guy that I want to see gone for good only because I don't trust the coaches not to play him at odd times.

By all accounts he's a stand-up guy but I really don't want him in our secondary.

There's a lot to be said for good character, but at the end of the day, the goal of a professional football team is to win.

You can't hang on to guys just because you 'like them', and you certainly can't afford to make business decisions based on such things.

(a lot of people believe that's what short circuited Marty Hurney)

You don't want to keep 'locker room cancers' for sure, but the nature of the business is that every locker room will have a mix of nice guys and nimrods.

i would bet almost anything all three of those guys would still be here if hurney was still the GM.

Case in point...

Had a lot of of hope for him coming in,  but he proved to be one of the worst NFL safeties I've ever seen.  Oh well.  Best of luck to him in the future.  Hope he can become a career special teamer for someone.

i remember being absolutely thrilled at the signing and expecting him to be an absolute bludgeon in the running game and a well-enough cover guy to justify competing for a permanent starting role

no one listen to anything i say from now on

Special Teams Ace

Awesome special teams player who was sidelined behind entrenched starters, I think this might be a potential starter and a good signing.

"Super Bowl"????

Depending on the price, this could be a terrific signing for us.

I like the signing. Inb4hurneysux.

When Rex Ryan drafted this guy he said he wanted the toughest guy there. Nakamura is a smart, aggressive player. Great signing.

This is actually a good, under the radar signing. Nakamura has generally been solid when called upon in Balitmore, and should get much more of a chance here. I'd think he could beat out Martin for sure.

Any safety is welcome on this team.

kid can probably beat either Martin or Godfrey out.

decent FA pick up.

He will be what Jim Leonhard was for the Jets

Good signing

Underrated signing, IMO. I like it.

He will be known henceforth as Nakamutha - as in Nakamutha fugga out.

A good signing for us. Glad to have him on board.

He's our next Marlon McCree

He's learned from the best, and has been part of what is known to be an elite defense. He isn't mediocre.

Superbowls

Pugh isn't even in the same league as this guy. I hope he's not on the team this season.

This dude can play.

Solid pickup. He's young, experienced, and very sexy.

How was it only March of 2012 that we signed him? It feels like he's been around for like 3 years. I guess he was just exhausting to think about so it felt longer.

That's what happens when you have Hurney signing random scrubs to multi-year deals.

Olindo Mare for four years? Ugh.
