To answer as seriously as possible: When I'm at home, it's a bit of a non-issue because I can just pause the game. If for whatever reason I don't want to pause it, for instance if I'm keeping up with the game thread on the huddle and don't want anything to be spoiled, and I absolutely can't hold it until halftime when there will be a garaunteed length of time with no game action, then I will go during and listen to the radio broadcast on my phone. Defensive descriptions work better in audio than offensive ones.

If I'm at the game and the almighty duece cannot be contained, I'll try and wait for a punt from either team. Unless you miss a returner taking one to the house, then you won't miss any real action, and there's usually a commercial after a change of possession so you've got a decent window of time to get back to your seat before the action gets going again.

Go right after a touchdown.  You then have the extra point, commercial break, kickoff, and often another commercial break to do your business and return.

 

Or you can just angle the television to where you can see it from the bathroom.
