Good grief.  Did any of you bashing RR's current mindset even watch the presser?  Just cut to the chase and start at 10:20.  He said everything you could have wished he'd said.  His bottom line: "The most important thing is that we focus in on this first game."

I'm sure Rivera and the team knows the importance of winning tge opener and starting strong.

They've only stressed it a million times in the offseason, and yet one throwaway line in a press conference and everyone is crying in their sippy cups mere moments after jizzing for Mikell. This fanbase. . .makes me wonder if there aren't enough Prozac prescriptions in the world.

It was mainly the reporter who was talking about being "concerned" he's putting too much pressure on the team to start strong. Basically Rivera said he agrees but he still stresses the importance of focusing on every game.

You can't get much vibe from a text as text lacks emotion and context most of the time. People are just being way too over dramatic about analyzing a couple of sentences.

Rivera isn't going to come out and say that this dude who we signed hours ago is going to "start" over someone who's been our starting  safety since OTAs. That's just disrespectful to the player, but everyone knows the truth.

Ok after watching it, it wasn't that bad but really can't blame us after all Rivera is known for slow starts and lack of urgency.

I am pretty sure he mentioned that the evaluators were watching film evaluating who fills the last practice squad spot. Speculated on bringing in another QB. IMHO, we bring in a veteran G like Scott from Detroit and kick an O-Lineman down to the PR

I understand the need for a sense of urgency, but damn, do you really make your season opener against the team projected to win the conference a must win? The Panthers are the underdogs here. What do you say to a team if they lose their season opener that you made a must win?

Hey, I hope they are overrated and we are underrated and we go 16 and 0, but have you guys watched this team the last 3 seasons? There is a possibility that we don't win this game and still go on to have a productive season.
