I don't get it. If he's so good, why has he been setting home since march?  Was he injured?  Was he just asking too much?

He was cut because he was due too much, and being the best safety on the market, he was likely asking for a decent amount. We signed him to a one year deal with an, as of yet, undisclosed amount. 

 

If it's less than 2 million, we got a fuging steal.

i think because he was waiting on a bigger deal or more than 1 year deal. not quit sure though. he is good though.

if we can replace Folkerts with a guy who can actually come in and start on the OL my confidence in this season will skyrocket.

As someone said, given our front 7, this secondary isn't too shabby if Norman and now Mikell can play up to expectations.  I also foresee Colin Jones getting more playing time than we think by midseason.  

 

We're looking at:

 

S: Mikell (Mitchell)

S: Godfrey (Jones)

 

CB: Norman-Thomas-Munnerlynn (Moore-Dockery-White)

 

The only guy I don't like in our secondary is Mitchell and now he's in a backup role.

I did read the thread. Sounded like a lot of guessing to me. So no team in the entire nfl was willing to pay this all world safety so he sit home since march. Right.
