According to 2012 PFF season grades for all safeties he ranked 5th out of 163 by overall grade. Great pickup!

In other news, 162 was Roman Harper and 163 was Malcom Jenkins, ugh.

Wow, those PFF stats are impressive.  With this signing, and assuming Norman can bring it in game the way he did in the preseason, our D may now be the total package.

mikell and ginn have to be our two biggest signings this year, potentially putting 2013 in the conversation for our best free agency period ever.

Carolina's been talking with him the whole offseason and he wanted to play for Rivera and McD in that philly JJ defense again.. 

 

He also didn't want to do the whole Camp thing.
