I thought you wanted them both cut. Now you say you were rooting for Gettis.

Don't take it out on everyone else that he got cut man.

 

I didn't say I was rooting for Gettis. I hope this isn't crossing into namecalling territory, but you seem really out of your element and confused a lot in these threads.

Posted something similar in the thread last night. Gettis gets cut and a bunch of people come out of the woodwork reveling in the "tears" of people who were rooting for him. Bizarre.

 

I can understand schadenfreude over some failure of the Falcons or Saints, but actually being gleeful over other Panthers fans being upset is gross.

 

I honestly don't think anyone is "excited" or "happy" that he got cut. I am however having fun laughing at those who are so bent out of shape over him being cut, like it even fuging matters in the slightest. 

 

Here's the reality. The cut wasn't going to be either Gettis or AE, it was going to be Gettis or Hixon. So the silly comparisons and people arguing from some twisted hypocritical stance about AE homers are just being fuging delusional. 

 

Either way, it's hilarious witnessing this meltdown.

 

I mean, I'm an AE fan, but I would accept him being cut gracefully - Despite the fact that I feel like he can honestly contribute on the professional level. It would just mean that he didn't earn his place and that other players were performing better. I sure as poo wouldn't concoct some off the wall fantasy world where there's some FO conspiracy that is somehow stonewalling Gettleman into being forced to cut him. That's outright lunacy.

see this pisses me off a little bit.

I only saw maybe one person "reveling in the tears" of people who were rooting for him. Most everybody was rooting for him during the preseason. the bombastic overreactions to him getting cut made me laugh. because people were acting like this was the difference between a good year and a bad year, and questioning gettleman when a few short hours before calling him a genius.

 

The thread was fueled from both sides, and would most certainly not have reached 60 pages or whatever if there wasn't a healthy dose of people egging the Gettis supporters (or in my case Armanti detractors) on. There were several, not just 1.

 

That said, I don't have any problem with 60 page threads. It was fun, I love talking football and arguing over poo. Only part that I haven't been a fan of are the people actually delighting that people were upset over the cut and trying to exacerbate it.

 

If/when Armanti is ever cut, I sure as hell won't be dishing that type of poo out.

It will not change the fact that he made the roster and Gettis didn't.

 

And I will still rant and rave about a bad decision as long as they keep making them or the players prove me wrong.

1. Cutting Steve B for Jeff Lewis

 

2. Staying with Jake when it was clear he was done.

 

3. Giving Jake 20 million dollars after the worst game I've ever seen a QB play.

 

4. Letting Moose go.

 

5. Letting Pep go for nothing.

 

And many more examples I will keep ranting and raving about because I'm a fan.

Most of this is stuff I've argued myself already. The conspiracy theory is ridiculous, and I've pointed out there was never a Gettis vs. AE competition.

 

But this part I disagree with:

Are you kidding me here? You're still comparing David Gettis getting cut to letting Peppers and Moose walk?
