Hello David Gettis

Recommended Posts

Even in the game Armanti had 2 catches, Gettis had 3. Playing better is not in the equation, because he just has not.

Practiced better? Sure. Played better? Not even close.

Catches don't tell the whole story here, Armanti looked tons better then Gettis in that game. Add to the fact that Gettis was playing against third stringers and well... To say anything otherwise is just silly and absurd. Armanti was consistently open for the 2nd team, just wasn't thrown to a bunch. When it mattered the pass went his way though...

We also know that Armanti only played in 1 preseason game and still hasn't proven he can play against competition not on his team.

You have this opinion that the front office actually cares what players do in preseason. Practice is more important than preseason games. By far. Like...not even close. The only thing less important than what you do in preseason games is what you did 3 years ago. The only thing they care about is what they think you can do now. Don't know why you can't understand that. It's such a simple concept.

Did they play the same amount of snaps and were they playing different levels of competition?

Practice and film room has always been where coaches do the majority of their evaluations.

Only fans and media over value the importance of preseason games for evaluation.

I'll answer these for everyone.

No they didn't play the same amount of snaps.

Gettis played against third stringers, Edwards against 2nd stringers.

Armanti even though he had one less catch still played better then Gettis and against better competition in this game.

Armanit is a football nut and watches just about as much game film as anyone else, being an ex QB he understands coverages extremely well. So Gettis never really had a chance in hell of beating him out. lol

Not for Armanti.

Armanti needed to show he can play WR when "actual" defenders can hit him.

Armanti doesn't have a problem catching balls in shorts.

His Problem was catching balls when player try to knock his block off.

You can't prove that when teammates can't hit you.

Do you pay attention to camp at all??????

Seriously are you a football fan?????

Mitchell twice has intercepted Newton, returning one for a touchdown during a practice this past weekend. In addition to picking off Newton again Monday, Mitchell delivered a helmet-jarring hit on Joe Adams that caught the attention of the crowd at Wofford.

You can hit players in camp when the pads are on..... gezz, it's not like the other players are like oh that's Armanti... lets not hit him, he's a nice guy.

LMAO

it takes a while for a good D1 school WR to make the move to the NFL, much less a QB turned WR to make an impact.

Also to add onto that he was going from Division 2 to the NFL and that adds some extra time to that as well.

To add more onto his plate, Fox didn't want to play him at wr, only at PR.

Which added even more to his plate, learning how to be an NFL PR.

I don't care what you do when players are not allowed to tag you. Looking good in Shorts is way different then looking good in games against players looking to hurt you.

And If you think the same hits that happen in TC are the same during games against other teams.

Then you've have never played or watched football.
