At the end of the day you have to admit that Gettis has done more this preseason than Armanti has the preseason and his time as a panther. That's facts.

Maybe if they put in some thought Cam wouldn't have had the best first 2 years in NFL history as a passer.

You see the glass half full, I see it half empty.  Just think what Newton could have done had he had more legitimate weapons at his disposal.  We've squandered opportunities with 89 due to the same problem that appears to be arguably stunting Cam's potential.  This isn't the path to get into the postseason, it's ultimately a dead end to failure.  Let's hope that our receiving corp, as it is, constitutes enough weaponry for Cam to take us where the upper echelon teams play year after year.

Hardly. His injured status did him in. As far as I know, AE has been healthy all these years riding that bench. So really, AE was saved by Gettis health issues.

Let's talk about how much time Gettis has missed over the years.

I can only judge what my eyes see and when I saw Gettis play he showed potential. Even this preseason he looked special until the injury. I don't see any point in saying a player will fail or succeed, I just sit back and watch. I'm glad Gettis is still around and I hope he gets a chance to prove himself at some point in the season.

 

He and Matt Moore were the next Joe Montana and Jerry Rice.
