Well, to be fair, you have to be able to play to get a chance.

 

Hard to argue against that. I just can't remember a time when Gettis was actually on the field playing when he didn't make an impact. The same can't be said for a lot of the WR we've let go in the past. But depth is a good thing. I don't think we suffer too much from his departure. It would have been a good story to see him make good.

What the hamstring injury bad or did the coaching staff just think he sucked?

 

They think he sucked.

 

You can't cut an injured player, so you have to waive/injured him. Once he clears waivers he will be on IR and they will probably reach injury settlement and release him.
