Take a look at the 49er's spotrac page here. It will make you sick just to see how their top 5 (probably top 3) O-line is getting paid.

This year, their line is only being paid $14.6M while Gross($9.4M/yr avg) and Kalil ($8.2M/yr avg) add up to $11.3M. They have their LT ($4.6M/yr avg) and their RT ($5.6M/yr avg) locked up all the way to 2019 and trying to sign their LG to a similar contract.

I'm just saying we've paid & plan on paying cornerstone linemen ~$10M while the 49ers are getting elite/high quality linemen across the bored and not even tapping above $6M/yr average over the contract. Less guaranteed money too.

Call me crazy, but I thought we changed GM's this offseason.

Only one team example, eh? Okay. Do me a favor and check how many years the starters for the 49ers have in the league. Appears to me that three of those guys are still on the rookie contracts.

The higher paid players are (surprise) the center and the left tackle, the only two who are not still on their rookie deals.

Now if you want to talk about those two, do me a favor first. Find examples of people (non 49er fans, specifically) saying that Jonathan Goodwin and Joe Staley are the best center and left tackle in the league.

If you can't find that, find the guys who are being talked about in those terms (and who are not on their rookie contracts) and tell me what they're getting paid.
