Gettleman Is the fugging man! so far the only thing i haven't agreed with is florence, and the only thing surprising is Poole... BUt i have to think this man has something of his sleeve. He can def find more talent in new freeagents than what we are letting go.

This might turn out to be a good season after all!

i dont who they would let go, that we could equal with anything other than a draftpick.. at the point we need the talent we have.

It'd likely be a pick.  Player for player trades are rare.

Familiarity might get him a batter deal than others would get though.

(might, it is still a business)

Florence?  I get it.  He is on the decline and playing him means that the young guys do not develop.  He was insurance.

I do no know what you mean about Poole.  WHat happened?

To tell the truth, it doesn't even really have to be a "trade" per se.

It's not unusual for a GM to call another GM with whom he's acquainted on cut day and say something like "Hey, we just released this kid who we liked a lot but we didn't have room for him on roster.  Maybe you could use him."

If you see any Panther cuts go to New York or Giant cuts going to Charlotte, it could be because of something like that.
