Hell, our defense amassed 357 yards total... the second highest was Chicago with 113.

 

We had over 3x the amount of yardage of the runner-up.  That's ridiculous.

Norman is a ball hawk with freakishly long arms for his height, and average speed. The great thing about our new defense is that it's built around QB pressure, deception, and outsmarting the opposing QB. You don't need superstar DBs when the QB is fooled and throws it right to them. If we can carry this defense into the regular season then some of our regular Joe DBs might be able to rack up a lot of INTs, that or we're going to rack up sacks. Something got to give. It's not like last season when our coverage was so loose that receivers were wide open on most routes. What we have now is scary, and please let it carry over to the regular season. We can stun Seattle's offense.

 

The rotating guys in and out on defense will be key in secondary. We run a lot of zone, but with a great pass rush and now 2 DT's that can stop the run and rush the passer makes it easier

We weren't seeing things with Norman, he played 65 of 66 snaps on Thursday. I think the coaches wanted to see how he'd handle a full game workload before considering moving him up the depth chart.

He took around 37% of snaps before the last game, only starting vs. Bears and Steelers. As far as first team snaps, that's hard to decipher for defenders since he might play against the 1st team QB but line up against a 3rd string WR, but in general he played about 40/60 of his snaps against ones in the first three game and almost entirely against 2s and 3s Thursday.

Not just that, but Norman played 65/66 of all defensive snaps. Dude was running on fumes and still made a great play and nearly outran a faster receiver.

Damn, I knew I saw Norman a lot... but I didn't realize he played pretty much every fuging snap.  I think he was in on special teams too, wasn't he?
