Norman Preseason DPOY

Gucci Mane

Recommended Posts

If he's so fast, why did he get caught from behind while returning that pick?

He's not really that fast top-end (I think he runs a 4.6), he is just quick.  Good for the bursts needed to play corner.

This is my second love affair with this kid with a big breakup in the middle.  Loved him in camp last year with all of the bravado, started the season fairly well, then I began cursing his name on a weekly basis and now we are back where we started.

I hope he has a breakout year but not sure who should sit to let him play.  I will let you more intelligent Huddler's debate that.

Norman is a ball hawk with freakishly long arms for his height, and average speed. The great thing about our new defense is that it's built around QB pressure, deception, and outsmarting the opposing QB. You don't need superstar DBs when the QB is fooled and throws it right to them. If we can carry this defense into the regular season then some of our regular Joe DBs might be able to rack up a lot of INTs, that or we're going to rack up sacks. Something got to give. It's not like last season when our coverage was so loose that receivers were wide open on most routes. What we have now is scary, and please let it carry over to the regular season. We can stun Seattle's offense.

I think Florence should be cut and Norman and Thomas should start with Cap in the nickel.

It seems that these screen names are very good identifying the nuts, first it was the squirrel guy which I had to work at, but you, you call yourself a nut and now I understand why. We all watched the same Norman last year who made little improvement. I don't want to throw him back in the fire against the Seahawks. We should work him in against the Bills and if he shows well, maybe increase his workload. But for now I'm not comfortable with him starting.

I think Norman deserves another shot to be a starting corner on this team. With his play in the pre-season, I think he should start opening day. He deserves it. My thing is that if he starts, he needs to be on a very short leash and be benched if he starts to perform poorly.
