Steve Bartlett, the agent for Erik Cole has told the Hurricanes that his client will become an unrestricted free agent on Wednesday.

Cole could still re-sign with the Hurricanes, but wants to see what else is out there. Stay tuned.

Chad LaRose and the Carolina Hurricanes are still talking.

LaRose is eligible to become an unrestricted free agent on July 1. GM Jim Rutherford has made an offer to LaRose and asked his agent Pat Morris to talk to LaRose about the offer and get back to him. It looks like LaRose, who had a great playoff with the Hurricanes is about to enter free agency.
