As a Duke alum, I instinctively want UNC to lose.  But I do see the bigger picture and am pulling for a strong ACC year overall.  That being said, I wouldn't mind UNC winning this one game.  Don't tell anyone though.

The university of Columbia at South Carolina really needs to realize their place. ESPN builds you up just to tear you down. I'm hoping UNC stomps columbia's and by proximity, ESPNS cock in the dirt.

Any ACC fan and person who hates the way ESPN treats the Panthers( no matter how much we deserve it) you would pull for the Tarholes. Regardless of the hatred I have for them and the joy I felt watching Duke beat them in a bar at Southpoint(heckling all the UNC fans) I personally would love to see SC fall. Hell they weren't even SC till the past three years. Fair weather fans come, and you'll go the way of Clowney, at least that's the only reason for the number 6 ranking. Conner shaw couldn't hold brenners jock. We will see though.

 

Oh please. Gamecock fans are some of the most long suffering in the SEC. Letdown after letdown and they still packed that stadium year after year. They know their football too, which you sure as hell can't say about UNC.

yes and no....when SC left the ACC in the 70's, there was very bitter blood.  The schools didn't play each other much in any sport until recently.  For the older folks, it is probably still bitter.  For the younger ones, it's more of a regional rival thing, SC feeling like a little brother, the Heels eliminating the Cocks in baseball this spring, a chance for revenge.

 

And everyone hates Tar Heel fans, so there's that.

They pack their stadium because ESPN builds up every team in that conference. Hell, Kentucky could contend with the top of the ACC. According to them because it pays. I won't buy the SC fan crap because a two and three loss season is not a disappointment regardless of who your a fan of, oh wait, there's no real champion at this level.
