Brandin Cooks vs Ifo Ekpre- Olomu

Were you able to watch any of Ifo vs Cooks?

Saw people tweeting him doing some good things in the game, but didn't get a chance to watch him myself.

Also, seeing a lot of people looking hard at Greg Robinson, OT Auburn, now.  Big favorite of Kiper, but seems the draft community is now jumping on his bandwagon.  Looked pretty physical against Bama today.

i did watch it. i think ifo won the head to head battle as well. he didnt allow Cooks to get behind him, but did allow him to catch some balls in front of him, but he would had to run threw Cooks to get the ball. had several pass breakups, a pick off a deep ball where he stayed under because he had safety help, and is pretty good in run support.numerous times he would get off a block and make tackles. he played over the slot and outwide, but his height is a huge ?

Cooks did win some of the battles with Ifo but really couldnt beat him deep. he did beat the other CB #27 for a deep ball but ended up fumbling out the back off the end zone.

i been watching him since i heard Kiper mention him. he seems like a decent prospect.i know we should be able to get a decent OT or WR prospect at the end of the first if guys declare.

.

Hey, what's your take on Davante Admas? He's expected to enter the draft.

Im sure you know all this but he's 6'2", 210lbs so has nice size. He has a 42" vert and good body control. He also has big strong hands making him a threat in the red zone.

But he plays in a crappy conference and runs a 4.5. He doesn't seem to get all that much separation and plays with a good QB. Also not exactly a polished route runner. Where do u see him going in the draft?

he is a red shirt soph, so he is can declare. i think he is a decent prospect, playing with a good QB in a very pass friendly system. he runs a lot of screens and verticals so i do wonder about his route running ability, but that could be said about every WR coming out. he does have a big body, and hands to catch balls in traffic.i have seen him attack the ball in the air well, and he appears to be a 4.5 guy. he did have over 20 TDs so he does have some talent.

just read an article saying he is a 4.4 guy. i wouldnt mind him in the 2nd round, but i have also seen he maybe a late 1st grade guy.

Thanks, Yeah I think he attacks the ball in the air well too. I saw that walterfootball had him going 12th overall to Baltimore and I think that's too high. If he runs a good 40 I think late first forsure.

yeah i agree with you about walter, i hate the way he creates drama on that site, and bad mouth people like he knows them. but he is a consistent supplier of draft stuff, so i am always on there.

but like with Mayock or any draftnik, doing your own research is much better and great to compare with those guys.that is the only reason i watch college football so i can know prospects for the professional level, and who translate to which teams.

I actually think Charlie Campbell does a better job mocking these players than Walter does.

Yep and that's why I began watching college too actually. Now I look forward to Saturdays almost as much as I do Sundays.

It was actually because a few of your posts that I really started watching Moncrief. If Moncrief didn't have Bo Wallace as a QB and Ole Miss didn't have the WR's they do, I think Moncrief would be getting talked about alot more. Him and Robinson are my 2 favorites right now.

NFL draft breakdown only has one video on Davante Adams, so that's why I had to ask.

draftbreakdown is my favorite site beside this one, but check out Derek Carr cutups for more of Davante plays. my favorite WR is still Moncrief, and what he did vs MSU and LSU last year was 1st round worthy.but he didnt have the same type of year, but he is still very talented. my second favorite WR is a tie between Kelvin Benjamin and Jarvis Landry. followed by Marqise Lee,  Allen Robinson and Rashad Green/ Davante Adams/ Paul Richardson.

edit-forgot about my boy Devante Parker out of Louisville, and obviously i like Sammy Watkins and Mike Evans.

Take EBRON, te out of unc if possible in first round this year, the wide receiver we want is not in this years draft he will be in 2015 draft and we will have to trade up to get him, he will be a top 20 projection and more than likely the first wideout taken but folks DORIAL GREEN-BECKHAM out of Missouri is answer for a true no.1 to replace Steve smith. He is an animal, can beat bump and run great ball skills, he needs to refine is route running but overall a great prospect. That's the receiver I want for the teams future. All the receivers in this years draft are above average to average.

Finally found cut ups of Greg Robinson (OT, Auburn) against 'Bama, can really see why scouts love him.  Physical at the POA and just moves people off the ball, thats his LoS and by god he'll do whatever he wants with it.  Adept at down blocking and continues to push people out of the way, one thing he'll need to work on is engaging at the 2nd level, often would get there then just stop and look around a bit.  Biggest concern is his pass blocking, not asked to do a lot of it since Auburn just runs, runs, runs, and runs some more.  Gets top heavy and doesn't set his base to properly engage pass rushers.  Lots to love, but if the Panthers end up drafting him Matsko has work to do.
