I'm still not quite getting all the hype about Kaepernick

kaep is a great qb. people on this board should stop diminishing his talent in comparison to Cam because harbaugh is bringing the absolute best out of him.

Which is what every coach is suppose to be doing with young QBs. I'll be honest, I looked at the Bills new QB and said, Damn that could have been/should have been Cam.

This team is destroying Cam. Colin, Russel, and even RG III are all given a chance to success with their team, while Cam is being made the sacrificial lamb on this Panthers team. How sad...

Colin vs Seattle is a great example of why I think people need to chill with the comparisons.

Granted it was one bad game, but if my memory serves me right, Cam absolutely torched defenses the first 10 games he ever played. Yes, he didn't take the Panthers to the playoffs, but he still put up prolific record breaking numbers.

I think with all the contemporary passing/running QB's in our league now (Cam, Colin, RG3, Wilson, Luck (somewhat)), it seems once teams have enough film to game plan against you, they can find a way to neutralize one facet of your game and make you one dimensional.

Out of all the QB's referenced, only Luck will have a long term successful career in the NFL. Even though I'm a Panthers fan, I don't see Cam making it far in the NFL as far as winning playoff games and superbowls. Just being a realist.

well, I guess if you guys will let Cam play his game and stop micro managing him he would have a chance.

Not one person can seriously say why they believe Luck will be better than any of the other players outside of the obvious that  seem to be a bad thing to talk about.

Kaep stunk up the joint for the 2nd straight week. It's crazy how opinions can drastically change from one week to the next, but lets just wait and see how things unfold as the season progresses.

I definitely liked what I saw from Cam this week.Cam has shown he can put up some incredible single game performances, but what I want to see next is consistency over a multiple game stretch.

Cam and Wilson are the best young QB's out there. CK and RGIII have physical talents but they aren't running real offenses. It's just BS pistol formations, roll outs, motions, etc. You see what happens when CK has to play like a real QB, he throws picks.

you're forgetting luck.

the luck hate on this board is silly.

I did. What I see is a gunslinger no different than Newton. Sorry but if you think he's Peyton Manning 2.0 or if you buy into the ESPN hype where he's supposedly a combination of Joe Montana and Dan Marino all rolled into one... LULZ.

lol, didn't say he was peyton 2.0.

what i see is an accurate passer that can read defenses with great athleticism. he has it all, there is honestly nothing not to like about luck as a player.

if you don't think he's on his way to stardom, you're just a hater.

He is going to have a bounce back game tonight

Solid game by Kaep, but nothing that stood out or impressed me. The niners went back to running the ball which opened up some passing lanes, but for the most part the niners ran a more conservative offense, similar to what they ran with alex smith.
