Give any NFL Qb 4  5  6 seconds and he will tourch a defense. A top notch QB like Brees or Brady are quick thinking and ouick reacting so that they only need 3 or less seconds. Cam has not improved in this department 1 little bit since he's been here. Still he has the native physical abilities to make our team better, but only if the surrounding talent is improved.

Soooo a guy that learned a completely different style of offense and verbiage, that didn't use a QB wristband, yet set the world on fire and shattered nearly every rookie record in NFL history, has a $1.95 brain power.

You are talking a whole lot of poo about cam not improving but the numbers don't back it up. Cam's td and int ratio became better from his first season to his second that means he is making better and quicker decisions. What stats do you have that it won't improve in the third season? I don't know who you are but you sound like a troll.

The guy has 60+ TDs in two seasons.

Almost all of his stats were close to the same last season except his INT% dropped considerably.

If he does even modestly improve he would be an MVP candidate.

And the truth is that most QBs take 4-5 years to stabilize their stats and really improve.

i hear and actually agree somewhat with what you're saying, but not necessarily contributing to a lack of brain power.  With a shaky oline, we certainly need to be looking for screens or other short passes, picking up blitzes and finding the checkdown.  That is an area he can certainly improve.

While I agree that he is no Brees, Brady, or Manning yet, we shouldn't expect him to be.

 

He has started less than 50 games combining D1 football and NFL in his life.

 

I would love for him to take that next step that we are hoping to see him take, but it's not about his smarts, just about experience and putting in the work to get better.

I agree. He's only throwing for 4k yards a season and is really dragging this team down. Plus Andrew Luck doesn't wear a towel on his head!

 

Guess whos second year this is:

 

526 Att 320 Comp 60.8 Pct 3,284 Yds 17 TD 16 Int

 

And this:

 

485 Att 280 Comp 57.7 Pct 3,869 Yds 19 TD 12 Int

 

One of these two players also had obscene rushing numbers/TDs.  The other is Drew Brees.
